Dr. Morgan Melton

Morgan Melton grew up in Palmer, Alaska and graduated from Palmer High School in 2012; she was awarded the Bill and Melinda Gates Millennium Scholarship. Morgan attended Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, where she was a member of their NCAA Division II volleyball team as a Defensive Specialist and had the opportunity to study abroad in five different countries. Morgan graduated with a Bachelors in Social Work with minors in Speech & Photojournalism in May 2017. She married her incredible husband, Ben, in June 2017!
Morgan moved to Memphis, TN for four years while her husband completed dental school and she completed her Masters in Education (M.A.Ed). During this time, Morgan student taught 9 -12th grade Physical Education and English. After graduation in 2019, Morgan started her Doctorate in Education program in 2020 and successfully defended her dissertation on Financial Literacy in Higher Education Graduates in September 2023 to earn a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D).
Morgan and her husband were thrilled to move back to Alaska in September 2021! The two of them love backcountry and cross country skiing, biking, running, and sea kayaking. They have three dogs, Bear, Bozeman, and Tulla, who are their favorite adventure buddies!
